Test Structure and Content
The NET is structured around the HSSC syllabus, covering subjects relevant to the chosen discipline of study. The test includes sections on mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and English, depending on the program applied for. The English section is patterned after the SAT exam, including an intelligence portion to evaluate analytical and problem-solving skills.

Test Sessions
The NET is conducted multiple times a year, typically in four sessions: NET 1, NET 2, NET 3 and NET 4.
Applicants can choose to appear in any or all of the sessions, with the highest score being considered for admission.
